Business Development Manager - Housewares - Southern UK - £42K OTE

THE ROLE:

We are currently assisting our client who is looking to appoint a new Business development Managers to cover the Southern half of the UK. This appointment is as a result of a change in direction of channelling sales through traditional National Accounts into new identified routes to market – this is a very exciting time to get into this premium brand organisation. This role will be largely based around new business and the ideal candidate will be highly assertive, able to work autonomously, be results focussed and be very self-motivated. As an individual you will come from a structured FMCG background with at least 5 years proven sales experience within non-food FMCG, preferably working with a premium brand product.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a highly credible manufacturer of high end tableware products with global presence. Their brand is synonymous with quality and luxury and has enjoyed over 200 years of successful trading, as a Group their annual 2010 turnover stood at an impressive £500million with the tableware division having a current UK turnover of £16million. As an organisation they are seeing year on year growth through strong levels of customer retention and the addition of new sales channels that are a direct reflection of ongoing changes in consumer buying habits (online, TV, home networking sales etc.).

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Structured non-food FMCG background
• At least 5 years sales experience
• A proven track record in new business
• A confident and assertive personality
• Able to challenge existing sales patterns, be an ideas person!
• Able to work autonomously
• Be results orientated

THE PACKAGE:

Basic Salary: £30-£35,000 base £42K OTE + Car + good benefits
