Commercial Officer – Refuelling Equipment – Southern England
THE ROLE:
A leading global manufacturer of aviation, marine, ground refuelling equipment and systems to Commercial Oil Companies, Aircraft Refuelling Companies and Defence markets worldwide is looking to recruit a Commercial Officer to produce bids and support the sales function.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, You will liaise with the sales office and design office to produce comprehensive and compelling bids along with supporting technical and commercial documentation. You will interface with the customer to manage not just the bid process but also the contract from award through to equipment delivery and post-sale support. As part of the sales and marketing team the Commercial Officer will also support enabling and PDS (Post Design Services) contracts with the UK MoD.
A background in engineering especially within vehicle manufacture would be a distinct advantage as would experience as an Internal Sales Engineer or Estimator.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a role for a dedicated, loyal and driven individual with good time management skills, the ability to self-task and a desire to achieve.
- It is expected that the likely candidate will have a minimum HNC or equivalent in a Commercial/Bids/technical discipline.
- Experience within a technical discipline, mechanical, Petrochem or process engineering would be advantageous.
- Previous experience within a customer focused role and dealing with tenders and capital projects.
- Contract management and experience of complex pricing structures.
- Knowledge of Commercial/Bids contracts and T&C’s (terms and conditions)
- Experience of dealing with International customers.
- Experience of export documentation and procedures.
- Ability to utilize in-house enterprise system and generate quotations
- Ability to communicate at all levels with customers and suppliers.
- Team player and willingness to energetically undertake any tasks required to achieve an objective.
- Microsoft office proficient, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop etc.
THE PACKAGE:
Basic Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 (dependent upon experience)
