Customer Support Engineer – RF and Microwave Satellite Comms

THE ROLE:

A leader in the field of Radio Frequency and Microwave component technology is looking to recruit an experienced RF Engineer to become their Customer Support Engineer. This newly created position will see you become the external sales support to a wide variety of clients both nationally and internationally. You will be experienced in RF and microwave communication commissioning, installation and training. This role will see you act as the liaison for clients who will have a need and want to discuss feasibility and design issues as well as issues surrounding installation and initial surveying of sites. You will then liaise with the sales function in order to come to the appropriate outcome. You will also play a key part in the installation process on site.
This role demands that you are technically adept and will be able to talk to clients with credibility. A background in military satellite communications would be a distinct advantage.

THE COMPANY:

Leading UK suppliers of RF and Microwave components and equipment are looking to recruit an Engineer experienced in the surveying, installation and commissioning of RF and microwave satellite communication systems to fulfil the role of Customer Support Engineer.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

•  Should have a military or an extensive travel background.
•  The ability to manage minor projects under supervision.
•  The ability to work as an individual or as part of a team, worldwide. 
• The ability to work in isolation whilst showing initiative, in order to complete a given task.
•  Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both internally and externally.
•  Conduct surveys of static sites where ECS equipment is to be installed. 
•  Aid in the management of the development of static site installation kits. 
•  Conduct the installation of ECS equipment in static sites.
•  Conduct surveys of vehicles, in which ECS equipment will be installed.
•  Aid in the management of the development of static vehicle installation kits 
• Conduct the installation of ECS equipment in vehicles.
• Commission microwave COFDM systems and ECM systems installed by ECS Engineers. 
• Commission microwave COFDM systems and ECM systems installed by external contractors.
•  Aid in the production of a theoretical and practical training package for all ECS products.
•  Deliver training on products.

THE PACKAGE:

Basic Salary: £35,000-£45,000 basic (dependent upon experience)
